In addition to the Thursday P.E. lesson, all children will complete a ‘daily mile’.  This will involve them running/walking a mile of the playground every day.

Reading Books

Children will develop their reading skills once a week with the class teacher as part of a guided reading group.  In addition to this, children are expected to read independently at home at least five times a week.  This could be a book from home or a book from the school library.  Please could you sign their Home Reading Records at least once a week, however your child should be writing in it every time they read with a small comment. How can parents help?

Please listen to your child read at least five times a week or talk to your child about what they have read.  Children can pick a reading book from school, home or the library.

Learning all the time table facts should also be ongoing with children becoming quicker with their mental recall.

Please make sure homework is in on time and children have a clean and complete P.E. kit in school.

Thank you for your continued support.
